Choosing the right school is not only crucial for a child, it is also important for the entire family. 

Hi, I’m Laura!

As a mother of two young children, I understand first-hand a parent’s struggle to ensure that their child gets a great education.
I started Bay Area School Choice in 2014 so that I could put my years of experience in education to work, guiding other parents through the public and private school maze in Marin, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley.

Before founding Bay Area School Choice, I had extensive educational and in-school experience, including:

  • 10 years in two prominent San Francisco Independent schools – The Town School for Boys and Convent of the Sacred Heart Elementary – as a Kindergarten teacher, 4th grade teacher, teaching assistant coordinator, summer school assistant coordinator, and admissions coordinator.
  • several years at a prominent Marin County high school – The Branson School – as the Director of Alumni Relations
  • a B.A. in Psychology from Connecticut College
  • an M.A. in Teaching and an M.A. in Organization and Leadership from the University of SanFrancisco
When we work together, I’ll spend time getting to know you and your family, and personally meet with you face-to-face, over the phone, or on a video call. My goal is always to listen more than I talk, and offer sound advice based on my extensive experience and knowledge of the school choices available.
